u smokeMY NAILS!!! help me yellow nails?
your a smoker. stop smoking then your nails wont look like ****
There is a few reasons why this could occur.

You say very little about the condition of the nails and symptoms like: Is there any itchiness or pain around the cuticles or nail bed?

Firstly this could be cause by smoke or any dye or strong chemicals you came in contact with.

Or if you are a chronic nail biter you can damage the tissue surrounding the nail. This could result in bacteria that may cause illness and minor but permanent nail deformity.

It could also be a fungus or bacteria that should immediately be treated by a physician.

Facts about nails:

Nails grow three to six millimeters per month, depending on person's age and health. It takes three to six months for a nail to completely grow out from the matrix to the free edge. (Nail growth begins in the matrix, which is the nails ';heart';. The matrix is a bed where special skin cells form the nail plate. Damage to the matrix can cause permanent deformity, and can even cause the nails to stop growing completely)

The free edge is the part of nail that extends from the end of the finger onwards.

In the end if you do not smoke and you know that you haven't gotten into contact with any harsh chemicals, you should consult your doctor or go see a nail physician. If it is anything other than smoke or chemicals the damage could permanent.

Good luck dear. All the best for solving your problem.

Sounds like you have a fungus infection underneath your nails. Soak your fingers with 50/50 clorox and water, and do this for for a good while, and if you find this mixture too strong, use less clorox, and don't rub your eyes until your wash your hands, because clorox is not good for the eyes. I bet that yellow will clear up in no time.
