I have yellow nails! WHY?

For some reason my nails have turned slightly yellow and i dont smoke. I paint my nails a lot so could it be the nail varnish remover?

What shall i do?I have yellow nails! WHY?
for some reason, nail polish leaves ur nails yellow. id advise u not to paint ur nails for a while, or clear nail polish, also putting ur nails to sun exposure may help to reduce the yellow-yness.

also, using a base coat my reduce the staining.I have yellow nails! WHY?
Nail discoloration, in which the nails appear white, yellow, or greenish, can result from different infections and conditions of the skin. In about 50% of cases, discolored nails are a result of infections with common fungi that can be found in the air, dust, and soil. There are many species of fungi that can affect nails. By far the most common, however, is called Trichophyton rubrum. This type of fungus has a tendency to infect the skin and is therefore known as a dermatophyte. Pseudomonas is a type of bacteria that infects the nail bed and result in a greenish color to the nails. Red or black nails may result from a hematoma (a collection of blood) under the nail as a result of trauma (including ingrown toenails).

Chronic medical conditions also can affect the appearance of the nails. Specific color changes in the nails can be suggestive of diabetes or of liver, kidney, heart, or lung conditions. This is why doctors pay specific attention to nails during a routine physical examination.

Other, rare causes of discolored nails include the ';yellow nail syndrome,'; an inherited condition that results in slow-growing, discolored nails and is associated with lymphedema (swelling of tissues due to the accumulation of fluid) and lung diseases. Nails may also appear lightened to a whitish-yellow color if there has been separation of the nail from the nail bed, termed onycholysis.
Look a little closer and you'll probably see that they're very fragile and a little too transparent.

It's not fungus or anything like that, it's just that they're fragile.

Yes, the reason is probably de nail varnish remover, so try to paint your nails in a light color so you don't have to remove it so often.

And buy a nail varnish remover with NO ACETONE. It must be printed on the bottle. It takes a little more time to get your paint off but it's worked for me!

Try to see if you also have little white spots on your nails. If that's the case, then you need to consume more calcium, but if it's not, it's just the nail varnish remover.

[Use calcium on your nails, it's what I do and it makes them strong and gives them a natural shine]
hi it could well be or it cud be what my nails went yellow though my nails went yellow a few weeks back and i ask my freind what could of made my nails go like that and she said have you being doing any painting in the hause and i said yes i have and thats what it was so if u have it could well be that.
