My acrylic nails have gone yellow?

I only had them done yesterday what would cause this, I have used fake tan and had my hands in cleaning agents but this has never happened before. My acrylic nails have gone yellow?
If your nails were just done yesterday and they have already turned yellow then it is most definitely something you have had your hands emmerged in. Fake tan will do it, so will cleaning agents. If this hasn't happened before then you were careful not to expose them too much or maybe the salon is now using a different kind of Acrylic? I strongly suggest you wear rubber gloves if you want to prolong the look of a recent manicure, especially if Acrylic is involved. Chemicals will not only make your nails turn yellow but also lift at the cuticles. This can cause further problems with moisture getting under the nail extention and growing a fungus . Acrylic nails are costly so make sure you take every precaution to make them last.My acrylic nails have gone yellow?
Mine always turned yellow because I smoked but it could have been something you ate with your fingers something tomatoy like pizza. There is a special coating they can put on your nails to keep them from turning yellow.
i used to get this whenever i went on a sunbed i found out it was something they put into the cream you apply before a sunbed
Yes, this can happen sometimes. Have you been getting less calcium in your diet recently? Sounds like a silly question but sometimes calcium can stop your nutrients from leeching out. If you've been having less then you may experience this as calcium can repel acrylic (which has a plastic base). The same same thing has happened with some of our customers before.

Any way, if you try rubbing some vinigar or lemon juice on them (both are acidic) then your nails will be fine.

It's strange when you know how all of these cosmetic products can affect your body and how much your diet can affect things.

Good luck!
It's probably the nails that they put on. Their materials could be old. And is this the first time they were put on, or did you just get a filling? Usually after a filling they can turn yellow. I would get them taken off and go to another nail salon.
acrylic nails can turn yellow from cigarettes cuz when you hold one, it stains your fingers, etc. well this is one of the reason why your nails could have turned yellow but other than that, im not sure
Well, you may want to go back to the nail shop, tell them what happened and have them remove the acryllic nails... its probably just a little infection... well thats the bad news... the good news is... it could just be that silly tanning lotion that you had used... and it darkened ur nails just a little... its nothing to worry about tho... you will be a ok.. take the nails off tho... or if u really dont want to... us alcohol... not fingernail polish remover.. that will really mess up the nail color... but if u dont care about the color... like polish i mean... use the remover...

BrownSugar SO Sweet! Good Luck!
go back and have her fix them. You pay a lot for acrylics.
Get rid of the acrylic nails.

Your nails can not breath with those things on and your nails will only become weaker and weaker as long as you wear them. Plus, the chemicals they use and have in them are not good for you.
I would call the place that you had them done and ask them. They may know why and give you an answer. Other than that I would try bleach.
Acrylic nails will most likely turn yellow when tanning-either if you are fake baking or using spray tan. The key is to get solar nails. These don't turn yellow from uv rays, and also last a lot longer.
Most likely it's the exposure to the tanning lotion in combination with the cleaning solutions in conjunction with a poorly mixed solution of the acrylic nail solution. Take your hands back to the nail salon.
IT HAS HAPPEND TO ME MANY OF TIMES I DONT KNOW WHAT CAUSES IT BUT IF YOU HAVE A SOFT BUFFER THAT WILL TAKE THE YELLOW COATING OFF.IT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPEND THIS SOON SO I WOULD PERSONALLY GO BACK TO THE PLACE WHERE YOU HAD THEM DONE.
did u go to a new nail place? did u smoke? mayb u have a finger fungus or something.
its the fake tan it has stained ure nails if its just a fench manicure style set u have on take the top coat of nail varnish off with acetone free nail varnish remover, if still yellow go back to her and get her to buff them down and put another layer on! x
